SAIU ORIENTATION 2021 – DAY 1
The Journey Begins – SaiU Orientation Program Day 1
First-year orientation is the stepping stone to college education and helps students ease their transition to college. It is the best way to meet future classmates, professors and tutors. You can also get familiar with the campus and make sure that you do not feel alone on your first day of college. Our three-day orientation program for incoming undergraduate students was both dynamic and engaging.
We started Day 1 of the orientation program with the welcome message from Nandini Uchil, Director – Admissions and Outreach. After wholeheartedly welcoming the first batch of undergraduate students, she expressed her profound happiness and pride to welcome them to our unique, vibrant and energetic community. She promised that SaiU offers a wide range of opportunities to make life-changing connections and relationships at SaiU and gain exciting knowledge and experience to taste success at the university and beyond.
Mr. K. V. Ramani, founder and Chancellor of Sai University, officially commenced the orientation by expressing his delight to welcome the inaugural batch to SaiU. He threw light on how SaiU came into existence and spoke at length about the courses, resources, and mentorship that SaiU offers. Mr. Ramani also explained the core values and beliefs that connect everyone at SaiU.
After expressing his joy and pride to have the first batch of undergraduate students onboard, Dr. Jamshed Bharucha, the founding vice-chancellor of Sai University, spoke about some of the intriguing facets of critical thinking and design thinking during the third session of the orientation program.
The session post-lunch by Dr. Ananth Padmanabhan, Dean – Academic Affairs, was highly interactive and participatory. After welcoming our eager and excited students, Ananth shared insightful information about the growing need to amalgamate and leverage technology and law. In addition to technology and law, he also spoke about intellectual property rights and data safety.
Day 1 drew to a close with the interaction and bonding session. The students enjoyed the opportunity to interact with their future classmates and the members of SaiU beyond the admissions office. The get-to-know session was an enriching and memorable experience for the students.
