Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha
Founding Dean, Indian School of Business
Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha has lent his dynamic vision to many institutions for making vistas of education and entrepreneurship accessible to the underprivileged. He was awarded the Personality of the Year by FICCI in 2015 and named one of India’s top 50 management thinkers in 2013 by Thinkers50 for his contributions to education.
He is a senior advisor of the Albright Stonebridge Group, India, and the founder and managing director of 9.9 Group Private Limited. Prior to founding 9.9 Group, he was a partner at McKinsey and led the ABP Group, one of India’s leading and most diversified media conglomerates.
Dr. Sinha served as the founding dean of the Indian School of Business (ISB) and continues to be a member of its board of governors. He is the founder and trustee of the acclaimed liberal arts university, Ashoka University, which launched the Young India Fellowship (YIF) in 2011. He also founded the Anant Fellowship and is one of the founders of the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women, 2015, a reimagined management programme for women, a first of its kind in India.
Dr. Sinha was provost at the Anant National University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He recently co-founded the Naropa Fellowship in Ladakh, with the vision of developing entrepreneurial leaders for the Himalayan region.
He also serves as a director on the boards of PRADAN, India’s leading development institution focused on improving livelihoods in the country’s poorest districts, and of the Central Square Foundation, a philanthropic fund focused on improving the educational outcomes for children from low-income families.
