Ruyinton Mehta
Ruyinton Mehta is a serial entrepreneur. He started several plastic technology companies across the USA and Canada, ranging in size from 5 million to 34 million USD in sales. He served as General Manager at Combustion Engineering Environmental (now ABB) and was President of Andersen Engineering Services in Flemington, NJ.
Ruyinton received a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Bombay, MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, and in Engineering Administration from the University of Utah.
He has served in several public leadership roles, including: Co-Chair of the Water initiative of WHEELS Global Foundation, a US non-profit started by IIT alumni residing in the US; Mentor of SCORE Central Jersey, a non-profit resource arm of the US Small Business Administration; President of IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation; President of IIT Bombay Alumni Association Greater New York; and President of IIT Gandhinagar Foundation. He has led several initiatives, including: Clean Drinking water projects in rural and remote villages of India; Chair Professorship, Student exchange program, Student Scholarship scheme at IIT Bombay; and Student Innovation program at IIT Gandhinagar.
