Mr. B. Sriram is a banker with extensive experience in all areas of banking and finance, such as credit and risk, retail, operations, IT, treasury, investment banking, and international operations. Currently, he is director of ICICI Bank Limited. Prior to this, he has been managing director and CEO, IDBI Bank Ltd, and managing director, State Bank of India and State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur. Having joined the State Bank of India as a probationary officer in December 1981, he has held various key assignments within the bank and the group through the 37 years of his service there.
He is a certificated associate of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (formerly the Indian Institute of Bankers), Mumbai. He holds a diploma from the Indian Academy of International Law & Diplomacy, New Delhi and an AIMA diploma in management from the All-India Management Association, New Delhi. He holds an MSc in Physics and BSc (Hons.) in Physics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
