Mr. Sam Narayana Subudhi has more than 2 years of experience in industry and research and has worked across Data Science domains such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing. His notable work includes developing an Occlusion Invariant Face Recognition system, which has been recognized for its innovative approach to leveraging deep learning techniques.

In his research span, he has been associated with IIT Palakkad, where he mentored students in Data Engineering, Database Management Systems, and Deep Learning. He also gained significant industry experience as a Software Engineer at MAQ Software, where he worked on data visualization projects using Power BI and Azure cloud services. His earlier role as a Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services involved developing and maintaining efficient PL/SQL procedures and crafting advanced SQL queries to support strategic decision-making. He completed his M.Tech in Data Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad, in 2024.

He earned his B.Tech (Honours) degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2020 from Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar. Throughout his academic journey, Sam has demonstrated exceptional leadership, serving as the Post Graduate Affairs Secretary and Overall M.Tech Placement Coordinator at IIT Palakkad. Beyond academics and professional achievements, he has a passion for sports and has led his team to victory as captain in cricket tournaments for consecutive years. He has also achieved notable accolades, such as ranking in the top 100 globally in several Codechef Challenges.
