Sahil Mehra
Assistant Professor, School of Arts and Sciences
Sahil has obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from South Asian University, New Delhi. His work has primarily been in the domain of political economy of development, with a focus on understanding the role of agrarian development and institutions in the process of economic development, especially for the global South. He is particulalry interested in advancing pluralism in economics.
He began his career with CHRIST (Deemed to be University) as an Assistant Professor. Before joining Sai University, he was at RV University, Bengaluru, where he played a key role in setting up the Centre for Contemporary Economics.
Sahil is teaching core courses in economics along with courses in development economics, political economy, and economics and politics of environment at Sai University.
