SYMPOSIUM ON ‘HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE ENVIRONMENT’

We are proud to announce that Abhishek Chakravarthy, assistant professor of law at SaiU, will be one of the panelists at a prestigious symposium hosted by Monmouth University’s Institute for Global Understanding. The topic for the Panel discussion is ‘Human Rights & the Environment: Perspectives from India’. The panel would be held online on April 14, 2021, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. EST.

This panel features experts on a wide range of emerging challenges that India faces at the intersection of human rights and the environment including climate justice litigation, the interplay between sustainable development and the rights of indigenous communities, climate change communication and climate migration, and the relationship between climate migration and human trafficking.

The event is free and open to the public but registration is required.

  • Visitors who feel sick or who experience any symptoms of COVID - 19 cannot come to the campus and must contact their host to reschedule the visit to campus.Visitors must be 24 hours free of ANY symptoms potentially related to COVID - 19 in order to be permitted on the SaiU City campus.
