Ashok Chandrasekaran

Dr. Ashok Chandrasekaran has more than 7 years of experience in teaching and research and has worked across domains including Signal Processing, Sparse Sampling, Detection and Estimation Theory, Machine Learning, Passive RADAR systems, and Smart Antenna Systems – 5G Beamforming. He has published research papers in renowned international and national journals and conferences such as IEEE, Springer, Elsevier, and PIER. Notably, his work on a machine learning-inspired DOA estimation method earned him the IEEE Publication Award in 2021 from the IEEE Madras section. Moreover, some of his conference papers have been recognized with best paper awards at IEEE and IETE conferences. He has been recognized as a peer reviewer for leading journals, including IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technologies, IEEE Sensors Journal, IEEE Systems Journal, and various Elsevier, Hindawi Journals and conferences.

In his academic and research span, he has been associated with Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI) as a Project Trainee on a Machine Vision System project in 2013 and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar on a DOA Estimation project in 2016. Furthermore, he has delivered invited lectures and talks at various academic events, including Faculty Development Programs sponsored by the Centre for Faculty Development (CFD), Anna University, and IEEE chapters. In 2023, he obtained his Ph.D. in the field of array signal processing from Anna University. In 2016, he completed his Masters in Engineering with a specialization in Communication Systems. He earned his B.Tech (Honours) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2013.
