Linda Jarvin
Linda Jarvin, PhD, is the President of Paris College of Art (Paris, France), a private institution of higher education offering programs in English to prepare students from across the world for US-accredted Bachelors and Masters degrees in the arts and design fields.
She received her PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Paris V (France) and her postdoctoral training at Yale University (USA). She has held faculty positions at Yale University’s psychology department (1999-2006), Yale University’s School of Medicine (2006-2008), Tufts University’s Department of Education (2006-2011) and Tufts University’s School of Veterinary Medicine (since 2011).
In addition to higher education management, she has extensive experience with higher education program development, curriculum planning and development, designing and implementing professional development opportunities for teachers and higher education faculty, and facilitating programmatic evaluation. She also has 20 years experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale health and education programs in sub-Saharan Africa, including the development of new Master’s programs.
Her research interests include the assessment, development and evaluation of human achievement in a variety of fields, including the arts as well as traditional academic domains.
