Ms Zahida War is a lecturer in the School of Arts and Sciences at Sai University where she teaches and designs Psychology courses for undergraduate students. With her mental health background and experience, she also works with the Office of Student Life to support students in their university journeys.
As a researcher, Zahida’s experiences of growing up in Kashmir motivate her to cultivate a nuanced understanding of how communities understand and respond to the perpetration of violence and what integrated interventions can be developed to support such communities.
Zahida’s education qualifications include an MSc in War and Psychiatry at King’s College London, a B.A. Honours in Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Research at Ashoka University.
